Public Works - Construction Contract NEWS
WINTER WEATHER NOTICE:
inclement weather in the Seattle region, City Purchasing and Contracting may
extend bid deadlines and pre-bid conferences so that they occur after any
weather events that are likely to obstruct normal transportation and delivery
services. The City will post a notice at this website location and will
send project-specific notices accordingly. Please check the solicitation
you are interested in frequently to ensure you have up-to-date information.
The City is
also aware of significant storms that occur in other parts of the country, and
in the event of a solicitation drawing from a national audience of bidders, may
extend deadlines to accommodate those participants as well. For questions,
please contact our main office 206-684-0444.
COMMUNITY WORKFORCE AGREEMENT AND PRIORITY HIRE:
The City passed the Priority Hire Ordinance in April 2015 and
negotiated a CWA to cover most of our construction contracts estimated
to be $5M or more. Please see our Labor Equity page at http://www.seattle.gov/city-purchasing-and-contracting/social-equity/labor-equity/priority-hire for more information.
