Welcome to the Metropolitan Utilities District of Omaha's eProcurement Website called eBid

You may register your company for free on eBid which is where M.U.D. posts all public bid invitations.  This website is intended to simplify communication between M.U.D. and bidders by posting bidding opportunities and allowing for easy and quick access to bid documents (i.e. drawings and specifications).  The site will also allow bidders an easy method to submit necessary paperwork in order to do business with M.U.D., change company profiles with current contact information, and manage categories for receiving bid invitations.


Registration Instructions:  The registration process is easy and consists of adding company information and selecting categories, which is a list of different types of items, services, and work M.U.D. solicits, that you are interested in receiving bid invitations for.  Click on the “Register” tab above and follow the instructions provided.  You will be required to upload your company’s insurance certificate and W9.  Once registered, you will receive bid invitations, via email, for categories you selected.  To assure that you receive bid invitations, your registration must be complete.


Login Instructions:  After registering, bidders may log in by simply clicking the “Log In” button in the upper right hand corner.  Enter your email address and password and click ”Log In”.

If you don’t remember your password, enter your email address in the field under “Forgot Password”.  You will receive a message stating, “Your password was reset”.  An email containing a temporary password will be sent to you.  Log in to the website using the temporary password.  You will be prompted to change your password.  Passwords must be at least eight (8) characters and needs to contain both numbers and letters and is case sensitive.

Bids will only be accepted up to the time of the bid opening and cannot be negotiated.  Bids must be in a sealed envelope/container and marked with the project number, project title, and bidder’s company name and address.

Bid tabs will be posted on eBid.  Award information, including the successful bidder and award amount, will be posted after Board approval.

Request for Proposals (RFQ): Request for proposals for professional services (i.e. information technology, engineering, financial, etc.) will be issued through eBid.  Proposals must be sealed and submitted to:

Proposals will only be accepted up to the deadline stated within the RFQ.  Unless otherwise stated in the RFQ, proposals must be in a sealed envelope/container and marked with the project number (if applicable), project title, and firm’s name and address.

Award information will be posted on eBid after Board approval.


Contractor Prequalification for Ductile Iron Water Main Construction: Any Contractor, who has NOT performed ductile iron water main installation work for the District in the last five (5) years, shall submit the following to John E. Velehradsky, P.E. (402-504-7914, within the time period as specified in the project specifications:
Contractor’s Company History: include length of time in business, owner’s name and experience, responsible employees and equipment list.
Contractor’s Relevant Work Experience: relating to size of pipe (diameter) installed, especially relating to ductile iron pipe.
References: include names and phone numbers from previously completed ductile iron water main projects.
Letter: state why the firm should be considered an acceptable bidder for projects.

If the above information is received after the deadline as specified in the project specifications, the bid may be rejected.
