Welcome to The Metropolitan District
Within this site you can register to do business with The Metropolitan District ("MDC" or "District") and view opportunities that match your qualifications. Please use the Register tab to create a new account. Upon receipt of the email approving/confirming your registration, you will be able to view and download current solicitations issued by the District.
NOTICE: Connecticut Law (C.G.S. §4a-100) requires that suppliers/contractors be prequalified by the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services ("DAS") on any fully or partially state
funded construction projects estimated over $500,000. The prequalification process can be time consuming. As such, please begin the DAS prequalification process as soon as possible to ensure that you do not miss any bidding opportunities. To prequalify with the DAS, please visit: http://www.biznet.ct.gov/prequal/Login/ContractorPrequalificationProgram FYI.pdf.
Additional Important Notes:
- Add "ebidsystems.com" and "themdc.com" to your email safe senders list to ensure you receive email messages. ALSO, ask your IT department to "white list" the domain @amazones.com. (eBid Systems uses the secure server at Amazon Web Services.)
- To download, review and respond to solicitations, suppliers/contractors must be registered with the MDC eBid Site. Note that until registration is approved, access to the MDC eBid Site will be limited. Registration approval can take up to two (2) business days.
- Comparisons of Bids (Bid results)are generally posted within two (2) business days after the public bid opening and are posted under the Document tab within the specific solicitation.
- The MDC will send email notifications on new solicitations using the categories selected during registration; if an email does not specifically apply to your company, please disregard the notification or select more specific categories that apply to your company. (You may also wish to select the categories that apply to companies that you regularly subcontract for to ensure you see solicitations going to prime contractors you may be able to support.)
